Massachusetts Inclusive Recovery Grant Program

MGCC will administer grants of up to $75,000 to small businesses equitably and fairly. The initiative is supported by the federal grant SLFRP1025, awarded to Massachusetts through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Massachusetts recently released two grant opportunities to help small-scale firms. The $75 million Inclusive Recovery Grant program is open to companies owned by people of color, veterans, women, disabled immigrants, and those who belong to members of the LGBTQ community. Companies with a business plan that meets the criteria can be eligible for grants of up to $75,000. A three-million-dollar Independent Movie Theater Grant Program assists movie theaters throughout the state by providing up to $15,000 for each new screen added to their existing venues. Applications are open for both programs until April 28.
Colorado Marshall Fire Grants
Colorado small-sized businesses affected by the recent Marshall Fire and Wind event might qualify for small-business grants to aid in rebuilding efforts. The Colorado Enterprise Fund helps implement the program with $1 million in funding through Boulder County and the state of Colorado. Companies with an eligible business plan may apply online for grants of up to $20,000. April 28 is the deadline for submissions. Winners will be announced in May.
Pierce County Small Business Innovation Matching Grant Program
Pierce County, Washington, recently adopted an ordinance to modify the Pierce County Small Business Innovation Matching Grant Program. The program was originally initiated with federal funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act and was extended due to the addition of funding from the American Rescue Plan Act. With the new rules on pandemics and changes in economic conditions, the county is rethinking the grant program, but it will continue to support it. Companies that qualify can apply for up to $20,000 each. They will have to contribute matching funds.
FHLBank Elevate Small Business Grant
FHLBank, located in Indianapolis, provides a continual grant program to help small businesses in Indiana and Michigan. This Elevate Grant is available for as much as $20,000 and can be used to invest in investments or employee training. To be eligible, small-sized enterprises must join a member institution to become members of FHLBank Indianapolis. The partner institutions are spread throughout the region and can aid small businesses in submitting and evaluating their applications before submitting them to FHLBank Indianapolis.
Virginia Community Climate Collaborative Grants
The Collaborative for Community Climate (C3) provides grants for minority-owned small firms located in Virginia. The group has recently completed its third fundraising round, which was its largest since its inception at the beginning of 2019. The round of funding included an amount of $20,000 total and each company that qualified received up to $2,500 to assist in implementing green energy initiatives. In the past, for example, businesses used grants to change lightbulbs that were inefficient by LEDs or to purchase energy-efficient appliances.
Stamford Pandemic Recovery Grants
Stamford, Connecticut, offers grants to help with pandemic recovery up to $10,000 for qualified small businesses. For eligibility, businesses must have fewer than sixty employees. They should also have been operational since at least January 1, 2019. must be able to demonstrate that they have suffered negative effects from the pandemic and have exhausted all funds from the previous assistance program for COVID-19. The program is open to any eligible business within the city, but one-third of the funds will be given to companies operated by women, minorities, or people with disabilities. Businesses have until April 28 to file applications.
